casa de la rosa live life in true mexicana style
casa de la rosa home
for artists, writers and anyone seeking inspiration. For lovers. For Families.

Rose CalderoneWelcome to Casa Rosa, a cozy home in the heart of everyday Mexicana life, 2 blocks from “el centro”, the main town square.

Casa Rosa is located in Morelia, Mexico, the capital of Michoacán state. It’s a city of one million people, yet still maintains much the same atmosphere of a small, country village.

Morelia is 6,399 feet above sea level, and rests on a gentle sloping hill overlooking the Valley of Guayangero, with scenic mountains in view. Morelia is in the center of Mexico, and that makes it perfect for travel around all of Mexico.

Morelia was built in 1541 and is designated a Spanish Colonial City by the Federal Government. It is known as the “Cuidad de la Cantera Rosa” (the pink city) for its early construction using pink colored limestone. This gives Morelia a beautiful, luminous glow any time and during any season.

The feeling created when walking the boulevards and avenues of Morelia is that one is both ancient and eternal. There is a unique mood to this city, more like Spain than any other place in Mexico.

Come to Casa Rosa and enjoy.....
Live Life in True Mexicana Style!
